The Hawaii sea level observing system

Bernard J. Kilonsky, Univ. of Hawaii, Honolulu, HI; and M. Merrifield

The Hawaii Sea Level Center maintains two data sets considered primary in the CLIVAR context, the HSLC real-time sea level data set and the GLOSS near-real time sea level products. Additionally, the center maintains as part of a cooperative agreement with NODC the JASL data set which provides sustained observations of sea level. The observing system and methodologies that produce these products are detailed and assessed.
