The use of WebCT as an online supplement during an on-campus introductory meteorology course at Millersville University
Christopher Dutton, Millersville Univ., Millersville, PA
The use of WebCT, a server based software program that facilitates the development of courses on the Internet, to enhance learning in a lecture-based Introductory Meteorology course for non-majors taught On-Campus at Millersville University, will be discussed and illustrated. Although WebCT has many features, the presentation will focus on the tools that have the highest potential positive impact on this course. These tools will be explained via a demo that simulates the use of the WebCT portion of the Introductory Meteorology course by a student. The attendee will come away from the presentation with a better idea of what WebCT can do for them and their courses.
