Working With Extensible Markup Language

Extensible Markup Language (XML) is rapidly developing a wide range of applications, including data interchange and remote procedure calls. Those wishing to start working with XML are faced with the practical problem of how to actually create and process XML. Most existing applications are either large, costly document production systems, free tools that are little more than "toy" applications, or useful building blocks that need to be incorporated into other programs.
This paper gives practical information that will allow one to start working with XML documents in a practical, non-platform-specific way.
