A Web-based Spot Forecast Request and Preparation System

A web-based spot forecast request and preparation system has been used in the Missoula National Weather Serivce Office through the summer of 1999. This system provides several helpful features for both users and forecasters. Of particular interest is automated checking of incoming requests, flexible parameters included in the forecast, and an interactive mapping component. Features will be shown and user feedback to the system will be discussed.
