Introductory to advanced interactive multimedia satellite meteorology: philosophy and examples

The COMET program provides multimedia distance learning for weather forecasters in the US and foreign countries with a range of educational backgrounds. The various levels of instruction are described from survey course support to the graduate level training, including a discussion of the instructional design philosophy employed. Examples of multimedia distance learning modules on GOES and POES satellite data will be presented including examples in French and Spanish.
