The Internet has provided a wealth of opportunities for state climate offices and other agencies to develop and expand their educational outreach activities. State climate offices fulfill their responsibility to educate the citizens of their states about weather and climate through a wide range of activities, from classroom presentations to online case studies. This paper is designed to give examples of developing and ongoing outreach activities within the Office of the New Jersey State Climatologist, with a focus on educational activities utilizing the power of the Internet. Examples of classroom presentations and intercomparative case studies include events such as Hurricane Floyd, squall lines, a "back door" cold front, a Nor'Easter, and a "perfect", sunny day.
