This paper introduces the new Vaisala DigiCORA III MW21 radiosounding ground equipment. DigiCORA III sets new standards for upper-air sounding operations due to its open software architecture, flexibility, and networking capabilities.
Distributed client-server software architecture along with networking capabilities using LAN, WAN and the Internet, on an industrial standard operating system opens new opportunities for remote data access, remote operating, and remote maintenance of a radiosounding system.
