Sherwood Wang, UCAR/COMET, Boulder, CO; and P. Dills, A. Mostek, T. Spangler, J. Lamos, and P. Parrish

This presentation highlights the new activities that will emerge from the partnership between the NPOESS office and the COMET Program focused on engaging new and experienced polar satellite users in the NPOESS development process. The UserPort Website will contain several levels of information and training to suit the needs of experienced, novice, and new users. A variety of training materials and opportunities to collaborate with other users and with the teams developing and testing the next generation of meteorological polar-orbiting satellites will be available on the site . The presentation will show some of the multimedia training materials, Web-based modules, and collaboration tools that will be integrated into the UserPort site and suggested for future enhancements to the site.
