Commercial Weather Services—A Report on the State of the Commercial Weather Sector in 2003 (Invited Presentation)

The state of the commercial weather industry in the United States is described. The presentation will look at current trends in industry related to business environment, consolidation, growth areas, and an assessment of the overall marketplace. External influences, such as government policy, data access, and relevant legislation are discussed. An overview of business and employment prospects is presented. A summary of outstanding issues will be presented.
