A comprehensive source of numerical model data

Kenneth Reeves, AccuWeather, Inc, State College, PA; and M. A. Steinberg

AccuWeather.com Professional was designed as a tool for forecast meteorologists to provide a complete array of highly advanced data and computer model information worldwide, all in one place in an easy-to-use, ad-free format. One of the primary benefits of this service is its handling of numerical model data.

Models available include RUC2, MM5, ETA, Meso-ETA, NGM, AVN, MRF, MRF ensemble members, NOGAPS, ECMWF, Canadian and other model data, with all model variables available plotted and analyzed on user-selectable map bases.

Data can be selected from any individual model or blended and compared with other models. The latest model runs are available, as are past model runs, available for comparison purposes.

The system is designed for flexible real-time access, including full-screen capability with four graphic windows, which all constantly update. Content is available through Internet access or with a hand-held PDA.
