NOAA-15, 16, and 17 (KLM) Quality Control and Trending Data Available to the User Community on a NOAA Web Site

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) is responsible for verification and validation of the NOAA polar weather satellite instrument data. As part of our verification system, a graphic system is used to monitor very large instrument data arrays. Trending plots and reports from over 3500 instrument Science and Housekeeping parameters every orbit per satellite are available in a searchable system on a daily basis for the AVHRR, HIRS, AMSU_A, AMSU_B instruments. The user community can access these parameters utilizing software provided at the Web site, http://www.osdpd.noaa.gov/PSB/PPP/CALIB/klm/index.html. The above data are viewable in three(3) different resolutions:
1. Medium - Two minute values throughout an orbit (Except HIRS, 256 seconds)
2. Orbital Value - One value per orbit showing sixty-one (61) consecutive orbit values.
3. Day Average - An average of fourteen(14) orbits per twenty-four (24) hours for the last sixty-one (61) days.
This paper will give an overview of this system and its potential usefulness to the user community.
