Enhanced visualizations of NOAA environmental data sets for the broadcaster
Allan C. Eustis, NOAA/NESDIS, Silver Spring, MD
NOAA's National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service has undertaken a unified effort to combine and visualize unique remotely sensed environmental data sets for use by the broadcaster. The eventual outcome of these efforts will be near real time availability of imagery depicting solar storms and sea surface temperatures surrounding tropical storms as well as fused model data and satellite imagery. This presentation will provide video snapshots as well as plans for future visualization work.
