The UNIX version of the Automated Tropical Cyclone Forecasting System (ATCF) has been in operational use at DOD forecast centers for over 4 years. The latest release of the UNIX version is Year 2000 compliant, has a new database format that has been extended to accomodate forecast requirements, and has new modules which support National Hurricane Center levied requirements.
