CHARACTERIZATION OF VORTEX MOTION INFLUENCES ON ATMOSPHERIC AEROSOL DYNAMICS

Richard Ammons, Missoula, Montana; and H. Thistle

Analytical and numerical examples are given of aerosol dynamics influenced by free and bound vortices in the atmospheric boundary layer. Certain generic concepts and parameters of such aerosol motion are characterized theoretically and found to be useful in turbulent dispersion theory.
