The paper gives an overview over the tree road weather systems, which are in use in Switzerland. As the tree systems operate differently several technical problems had to be solved on the communication level. The integration of the measured road data within the short range database was one step to solve the problems. Solutions had to be found for different communications protocols and different communication channels.
