During the past year a series of videoconferences was held between the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Nicolet High School (in Glendale, Wisconsin). Designed to promote University/High School collaboration, the videoconferences allowed high school students to interact directly with University faculty and students. The conferences included question-and-answer sessions, mini-lectures by University faculty, hands-on exercises involving analysis of real-time weather data, and presentation of student projects to University faculty and students. In this presentation I will discuss the pedagogical issues involved, the technology utilized, and plans for the future
