Dale Raymakers, DTN Kavouras Weather Services, Burnsville, MN

The Meteorology Department at Kavouras Inc. is staffed by 25 full time meteorologists operating seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Forecasts are created for Domestic and International cities. The terminal forecasts are updated 3 times daily taking advantage of the latest technology to create the most accurate forecast. This paper will go into detail how the meteorologist prepares to produce the terminal forecasts, using model data, necessary hardware and computer software programs.
