P3.39 Meteorological in SITU Observation in the Southern Ice Cap, Patagonia

. Meteorological observations measured at the Southern Patagonia Ice Field in spring of 1996 are compared with data from NCEP-NCAR reanalysis. Field data include temperature, wind, cloud cover and humidity measured simultaneously at sea level and on the icefield. Synoptic analyses associated with observed weather conditions were examined to better understand the local climatology and impacts on the behaviour of glacier
