Session 11A Monsoon Dynamics: Variability, Change and Impacts

Thursday, 14 January 2021: 1:00 PM-2:00 PM

Description:

Monsoon systems are fundamental phenomena in the climate system, not only for their impacts on human activities but also for the influence they have on climate variability at multiple timescales (from subseasonal to centennial) at both local and global scales. The scientific scope of the session includes all aspects of monsoon research such as monsoon variability and predictability spanning across time and space scales, extremes, impacts, and monsoons under a changing climate. Both observational and modeling studies, and predictions, on the related topics are welcome in the session.
