The National Weather Service (NWS) is advancing to more effectively carry-out its Mission of saving lives and property, as we work toward realizing our Priorities and Action Strategies for the Future, initiatives to transform the NWS into a more nimble, flexible, and mobile agency that is eye to eye with decision makers. The NWS aims to reduce the impacts of weather, water, and climate events by transforming the way people receive, understand, and act on observations, forecasts, and warnings. This presentation will highlight key accomplishments, ongoing work, and challenges related to this goal. NWS priorities including our people, our infrastructure, our future, and interagency collaboration will also be discussed.
