Handout (2.4 MB)

NOAA’s Office of Common Services (OCS) in the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) is leading the effort to transition some of NOAA’s highest impact data products to operations in the AWS cloud. Learn more about the NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF) and how it is enabling faster and more efficient product generation and delivery to meet the evolving needs of our customers. This talk will focus on products: how we are transitioning existing satellite data products to the NCCF, how we are using the platform to enable scientific innovation and development, and opportunities for partnerships for projects that want to use data in the NCCF, or that would like to use the NCCF’s science development environment. Our ultimate goal is to allow users to take advantage of the full richness of NOAA’s data in a flexible cloud computing platform to create products that enable informed decisions and ensure that people and the environment are safe, healthy, and prosperous.
