The National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA) Commercial Smallsat Data Acquisition (CSDA) Program was established to identify, evaluate, and acquire data from commercial satellite companies that support and complement NASA’s Earth sciences missions and research goals. The CSDA has developed a cloud native data system to provide scalable, efficient, continuous, and repeatable data management processes for all commercial data acquired by NASA. Included in this data system are web interfaces and services to provide access and promote use of the archived data products. This presentation will focus on data curation activities and dissemination tools developed by the CSDA Program data management team. Included are data system infrastructure modifications to improve efficiency in data management, updates to the CSDA data discovery and dissemination tool Smallsat Data Explorer, and integration with the Earth Observing System Data and Information System for long-term data preservation.
