Description:
While the importance of air-sea interactions to tropical weather and climate variability is widely recognized, understanding and modeling these interactions continues to pose considerable challenges for the scientific community. We invite presentations of research seeking to address these challenges, including results from recent field experiments, in situ and remote sensing observations, and modeling studies. We welcome research on the role of air-sea interactions in organized tropical convection such as the MJO and equatorial waves, as well as research focusing on the role of these organized convective phenomena in driving variability within the ocean, including subsurface ocean dynamics.
