Considerable changes in the dynamic and thermodynamic characteristics of the tropics are expected to occur as the climate system warms, and may impact tropical convective variability such as the Madden-Julian Oscillation. Changes in tropical convective variability could, in turn, rectify back on to the broader climate system. We invite presentations of theoretical, observational, and modeling studies related to tropical convective variability, and its associated impacts, in a changing climate.
