A rain episode related to a mesoscale gravity wave during MAP

High resolution measurements of the rain rate taken by the team of the University of Turin during MAP experiment have been compared with microbarometric data to investigate the influence of gravity waves on precipitation. A periodical behavior of the rain rate which is significatively correlated with a mesoscale gravity wave has been found during IOP8 and is discussed.
