Tropospheric and lower stratospheric trace gas retrievals from AIRS

The Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) currently on the EOS-Aqua platform globally retrieves profile information of several trace and minor gases from nadir viewing of IR emittance. With the Version 5 retrieval product, we present improved results for tropospheric carbon monoxide, and upper tropospheric and lower stratospheric ozone. We also present new products for tropospheric methane and upper tropospheric carbon dioxide.
