While many simple models for axisymmetric flows suggest a velocity decay proportional to 1/r, where r is the radial distance from the axis of the rotation, observations suggest an intermediate region with a decay proportional to 1/rb. We review some of the models relevant to such regimes, discuss our own model that solves the Euler equations, and provide 2D computational results supporting the observations.
