The AMS community has been working on ideas to more closely connect the development of new atmosphere prediction models in the academic and government community with their potential commercial users. The idea of making research models (both national and global) available in "beta test" mode has been discussed at previous meetings. Some exciting progress on these ideas as a result of the Sandy Supplemental funds will be discussed at the meeting.
