Data from the JPSS satellite system is notoriously difficult to use. Not only are there five sensors on the platform, but each product has different data formats, levels, resolutions, scan types, etc. These attributes present challenges to any software. In this talk, we’ll discuss how the ArcGIS Enterprise suite is capable of seamlessly working with JPSS data. The multidimensional raster mosaic capability greatly streamlines the process of ingest, visualization, analysis, and publishing online. Raster functions provide at-a-click access to common analyses, both spatial and statistical in nature. Custom functions can also be defined, and chained together using Model Builder or Python. Lastly, the data can be displayed in multiple dimensions: 2D, 3D, and time-enabled.
