This joint session with the Student Conference will touch upon skill sets that aren't necessarily taught in the weather, water, and climate curriculum. The job market has become highly demanding, therefore it is essential for applicants to have a broad range of expertise in order to stand out in a sea of job applications. Learning does not end at the academic level, and it is important to have the ability to adapt to new proficiencies in order to stay competitive when moving to the next career step.
The session begins in Room 124B with a keynote from Dr. Gina Eosco, the recipient of this years Award for Early Career Professional Achievement. Attendees will then be split up into three smaller groups, and will be placed in one of three rooms: 124B, 125AB, 126A.
The three rotating topics are as follows:
- Working Environments: Gretchen Mullendore
- The Art of Negotiating: James Correia
- Finance and Benefits: Jessica Mackaro
