In broadcast news, having an exclusive story has always been a great thing! Unfortunately, too many TV meteorologists are finding themselves as solo sources for Climate Change information in their markets. As two “veteran TV mets”, we have decided to act as mentors to our local competitors and try to provide them with the tools and the courage to present the truth about Global Warming to their audience.

As Station Scientists, we are often asked to educate our viewers about meteors, earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanoes, why would we shy away from climate change? In this paper, we will present samples of our efforts to bring our colleagues together for Climate Change Roundtables. At these summits, we bring in top scientists and researchers and give our fellow broadcasters the background and encouragement to properly educate their viewers.
