Session 4 "A Survey of Observational Needs for the Weather Enterprise".

Tuesday, 14 January 2020: 1:30 PM-3:00 PM
254A (Boston Convention and Exhibition Center)
Host: Eighth Symposium on the Weather, Water, and Climate Enterprise
Chair:
Jerald A. Brotzge, Univ. at Albany, SUNY, New York State Mesonet, Albany, NY

This would be a session of invited talks. This session builds upon the work that former AMS President Fred Carr initiated several years ago, when he conducted a large-scale survey of many of the attendees at the annual meeting regarding their use and future needs for observations.  In this session, Fred Carr will provide the results of that survey, and additional speakers will provide additional views from various perspectives (e.g., NOAA, university, private industry).
