There are now a significant number of climate change policy bills under consideration in the halls of the US Congress. Representatives from political action and advocacy organizations will discuss how they’re working to build the political will necessary to pass effective legislation. This session addresses a number of questions, including: Will this legislation reflect the results of integrated assessment models discussed in the previous session? Why hasn’t it been sufficient to merely present the scientific facts within the scientific consensus? What role can professional meteorologists play in educating the public?
