Session 4 GCOS (Global Climate Observing System) Reference Upper Air Network

Wednesday, 11 June 2014: 10:30 AM-12:00 PM
Salon A-B (Denver Marriott Westminster)
Host: 17th Symposium on Meteorological Observation and Instrumentation
Cochairs:
Junhong Wang, NCAR, EOL, Boulder, CO and Holger Vomel, NCAR, Boulder, CO

The GRUAN is an international reference observing network, designed to meet climate requirements and to fill a major void in the current global observing system. Currently there are 15 stations around the globe. One data product is available. We are interested in abstracts focusing on GRUAN network design, data analysis, instrument development and so on. This might fit the joint session with Applied Climatology.
