With the recent completion of The Atlantic Hurricane Database Re-analysis Project for the years 1851-1910 several import revisions have been added to the official HURDAT data base, maintained by the National Hurricane Center. These revisions include the re-analysis and upgrading of several landfall events in the South Atlantic Bight (SAB) region. A re-examination of Hurricane Return Periods and Wait Times for the SAB is presented and contrasted with the current 20th Century database. Additionally, SAB events are compared to climatic variables to determine what, if any, patterns are evident in SAB landfalls.
