It is argued that electromagnetism effects may have significant or even dominant effects upon hurricane dynamics. Electromagnetic effects appear to be consistent with major hurricane characteristics, including most notably the eye. Elements of hurricane models are suggested. Simple experimental measurements are also suggested to evaluate the effects. If the hypothesis were to be found true, hurricane “management” techniques might be possible.
