Friday, 29 June 2001: 1:50 PM
Sam Scaman, KMSP-TV, Minneapolis, MN; and M. Quadling and H. Quadling

Computer demonstration of the Visual Forecast workstation. This workstation is a "future time-lapse" of the weather before it happens. The Visual Forecast replaces Chyron text forecast pages by showing viewers what will happen over their city. The workstation is localized over their area and volume rendered clouds and weather elements move through the scene in real-time. The company that has developed this new technology is called ScapeWare 3d. Founded by Sam Scaman, Mark Quadling and Henley Quadling.
