Applying for the AMS TV Seal of Approval: Submitting Your Tape and Cover Letter

This is a "how to" discussion for those who desire to learn what is expected by the AMS Broadcast Board to be on the tape and letter submitted for review. Specific verbal examples of Do's and Don'ts for both tape and the cover letter will be provided. A video will also be shown depicting a properly annotated graphic and animation showing continuity within a weathercast.

The AMS Seal evaluation from will be visualized, discussed and referenced with each item throughly explained.

Items included will be how to label the tape, what format the submissions should be and when the applicant can reasonably expect to receive a response. The pass-fail rates for the past 10 years will be show, as well as the female to male AMS seal ratio.
