Two Doppler On Wheel and several Pod deployable weather stations were deployed near and north of Naples Florida ahead of the landfall of Hurricane Irma. Two DOWs were deployed in a north-south configuration to facilitate dual-Doppler analyses. RHI vertical cross section scans were also conducted to map the vertical and dual-polarization revealed microphysical structure of eyewall convection. Intense winds and small-scale hurricane boundary layer rolls were observed in both radar and anemometer data as the eye decayed as is passed across the southwestern Florida peninsula. Preliminary data and results from this deployment will be discussed.
