Baron Services' New Dual-Polarization Developments for Doppler Weather Radar

Integrated radar solutions from Baron Services deliver a comprehensive suite of advanced meteorological and hydrological capabilities, from flexible 2D and 3D display workstations and real-time Doppler radar sensors to numerical weather prediction (NWP) and a host of high-end weather data. Baron solutions enable users in government, commercial, emergency response and broadcast television to benefit from the most accurate meteorological and hydrological data while streamlining operations and reducing costs. The company's leadership in Doppler radar innovations has been spearheaded by its pioneering efforts in dual-polarization technology. In addition to a fleet of seven dual-polarization radar installations already operational in the United States, Baron has been selected in partnership with L-3 Enterprise IT Solutions (EITS) to upgrade the U.S. National Weather Service's NEXRAD program with dual-polarization technology, allowing meteorologists to more precisely evaluate the effects of specific hydrometeors on their areas of responsibility.
