The original description of the Dvorak Technique was published in a NOAA Tech Memo in 1973 and in MWR two years later.  Given the importance of this innovation and its use globally, it would be good to have a session concerning the development of the Dvorak Technique, innovations since then, and the importance of the technique in global TC forecasting.
