Through a joint venture, Enterprise Electronics Corporation (EEC) and the University of Oklahoma Advanced Radar Research Center designed and developed a 100 Watt, X-band radar system, which makes use of pulse compression technology to achieve incredible performance. The compact design allows for a wide range of applications and deployment topologies, while the dual-polarization capabilities provide an extensive suite of radar products to the end-user. Solid-state power amplifiers coupled with the use of frequency modulated waveforms allow the Ranger to achieve performance approaching that of higher power systems. Stand-alone or networked radar systems can be utilized in city flood planning, sporting events, deep sea oil platforms, mobile applications, and gap-filling purposes. A brief system description will be presented, as well as the results of the most recent data collections.
