Intercomparisons of dual-polarization signatures among DOW and NOXP X-band radars and DOW and CHILL radars

Dual polarization products obtained with the DOW mobile radars are compared with those obtained by the NOXP and CHILL radars. A DOW was co-located with the CHILL radar facility in order to obtain overlapping data in convection. During VORTEX2, two DOWS and the NOXP radar were closely deployed in order to observe supercell structures with three, supposedly similarly characterized, X-band mobile radars.
