Weather events of all types and magnitudes occur on a continual basis with The Weather Channel constantly monitoring and covering these phenomena. Once weather advisories and warnings are issued by the National Weather Service, and/or The Weather Channel sees a situation requiring additional information, explanation or emphasis, a multi-faceted approach to getting the information out in a rapid and trustworthy fashion and format to its millions of customers is necessary. The Weather Channel's many platforms are strongly leveraged to achieve this necessity. These platforms, which continue to grow and expand to keep up with the rapidly-changing technologies of today, are utilized to reach the varied customer base that relies on The Weather Channel. As part of this course of action, an improved and better coordinated relationship with the National Weather Service and emergency management community is another piece of the puzzle to improving this process even further.

In this presentation we will demonstrate some of the ways that The Weather Channel achieves this communication of information to its customers taking in regard accuracy, clarity and ease-of-use for the best possible experience. It is not only important to get the message out to the many platforms and types of users but also to ensure the final product is of the best use for daily live decisions made.
