Phoenix North (DoubleTree by Hilton Austin Hotel)
I began my television career 40 years ago!
In the last four decades, I have used every form of presentation tool from felt tipped magic markers and magnetic weather symbols to the latest high definition computer systems.
I was one of the early innovators in the computer graphic "revolution" of the late 1970s and installed the first weather computers at dozens of TV stations around the nation - personally training many of the legends of broadcast meteorology.
Much has changed in our profession since the Disco Days, but there are still some constants that are important for us to understand as we look to the future.
My presentation will be a mix of nostalgia, big hair, advice and a challenge.
