This session will showcase all of the NWS National Forecast Centers and provide resources for broadcasters to tell the Nation's weather story each day. In this session, representatives from all of the NWS National Forecast Centers will engage the audience to share:
(a) A brief primer on each Center & what forecasts and services it provides;
(b) Story ideas for the media, which can include highlights of the cutting edge science they're working on and ideas for longer-form media stories; and
(c) Key places for media to go to follow Center forecasts & events

The session will conclude with an update from the NWS Hazard Simplification Program. In this part of the session, NWS will share its plans to transition from the use of advisories toward plain language messaging. Participants will then work together to identify best practices and potential roadblocks for broadcasters as they navigate this change. NWS welcomes open dialog and idea-sharing in this activity.
