Through partnerships with NCEP, the University of Maryland-College Park, and the Army High Performance Computing Research Center, capability to do regional ensemble prediction has been significantly augmented at Jackson State University and at the Polish Institute for Atomic Energy. Bred vector techniques as well as multi-model approaches to ensemble forecasting are being evaluated for their applicability to mesoscale regional prediction issues.
