Initiating Introduction of Online Weather Studies

Albany State University is a historically black institution located in Southwest Georgia. The university was founded in 1903 to educate African American youths and proudly continues to fulfill its historic mission while serving the educational needs of an increasingly diverse student population. A pogressive institution, seeks to foster the growth and development of the region, state and nation. A leader in teacher education, nursing, criminal justice, business, public administration, and the sciences. The university offers several undergrtaduate and graduate degree programs.

The proposed course will be part of Natural Sciences Department curriculum. Before it could be offered for students, the course, and syllabus has to be approved by various committees at this department, college and university level. The author is planning to submit all the required paper work to various committees during this semester for their considerations, and if approved the course may be initiated to our program by Fall 2007 and or Spring 2008. The methodolgy and results shall be presented at the January 2007 AMS Annual Meeting at San Antonio, Texas.
