The Oceanography laboratory class (Oceanography 10) for Los Angeles Valley College will be offered in the online format in spring 2007 using the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Online Ocean studies curriculum. The course will be presented to the Los Angeles Valley Curriculum Committee in fall 2006 for approval. Following approval, Oceanography 10 will be placed in the spring schedule of classes.

The laboratory assignments from the AMS Online Ocean Studies Curriculum will be selected to complement the material covered in the lecture course. Forums discussions will be selected from current topics in the AMS online ocean studies.
