The model for the space time variability of radar rainfall fields

In this paper, we have developed a linear dynamic system (LDS) for describing spacetime radar reflectivity fields over a short time period. The storm motion is a special application of the underlying model developed here where the reflectivity fields are modeled as an LDS. Based on the LDS scheme, we further developed an extrapolative Vector Auto-Regressive (VAR) procedure for recursively modeling and predicting spatiotemporal radar reflectivity fields for 0 1 h.
